After a minute's silence to remember passed away members, the minutes from the 2016 AGM were read out and accepted.
In his Chairman's Report Mart Rampe noted that the Financial Summary shows the operating profit for the financial year ending June 30, 2017 amounted to $11,251.34 and the cash position for the same period increased slightly to $849,174.20. During 2016-17, ERC continued the process of financially assisting organizations that are promoting Estonian cultural activities in Australia. These organizations included:
Australian Estonian Newspaper "Meie Kodu"Sydney Estonian Parents and Friends Association "Sőrve Sőbrad" Brisbane Estonian Playschool Children's Estonian playgroup at Sydney Estonian House.
He also noted that a total of $20,600 has been distributed to these organizations to assist them during the new 2017-2018 financial year. The Chairman's Report, Financial Summary and Auditor's report were unanimously accepted by the meeting.
There were nine nominations for the nine vacant director positions and all were accepted. However, due to a late withdrawal, only eight director positions were filled. Following a meeting of the new Board, the following director positions were confirmed:

Two of ERC's most hard working directors - Krista Ford and Lea Holm retired at the AGM. The Board, on behalf of the members wish to acknowledge their valuable contribution over many years.
The meeting was closed by the singing of the Estonian national anthem and was followed by social gathering over lunch.
