The traditional ceremony opened with the hymn "Abide with me" and was followed by the reading of "For the Fallen" by Tim Heath. Michael McGuiness, representing HE Mary Thurston, Ambassador of New Zealand, read "In Flanders Fields". HE Kerin Ayyalaraju, Ambassador of Australia, gave the commemorative address which was followed by HE Hayriye Kumaᶊioğiu, Ambassador of Turkey, who read Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's tribute to the fallen.
Representatives of the Australian and New Zealand communities laid wreaths at the Freedom Cross and Chris Wallace, ADF Ret. read "The Ode". The "Last Post" was played by Junior Sergeant Mikk Uusmäe of the Orchestra of the Estonian Defence Forces as was "The Rouse", which followed the one minute silence.
The small crowd attending the ceremony joined in singing the New Zealand and Australian national anthems which concluded the ceremony.
Travis Beswick, on behalf of the organisers invited all to join them in a morning tea at Puubar in Kalamaja.
