Craft entries will be displayed in the best manner possible in The Estonian House upstairs hall. Entries displayed at this location will be a feature for two days, 27th and 28th December 2014, after which the entries will need to be collected by the exhibitor on the morning of the 29th December 2014.
As a special feature of the craft work and an opening for the craft display we will be staging a mini fashion parade of wearable craft items. These items may be knitted, felted, woven, crocheted in any combination of fibre arts. The important consideration is that the quality and standard of work meets the criteria of excellent workmanship and a link to our Estonian heritage.
The Melbourne Ethnographic Handicraft Group will be handling the display of craft work and Maret Wocadlo will be organising the Fashion Parade.
Craft work sent for the Fashion Parade will be entered on the same form as the craft entries, however the maker must indicate that the work is for the parade and it may be worn.
All care will be taken that your entries are handled with care, but the craft exhibition organisers cannot be held responsible for any issues which may arise with your work.
Submitted work must:
1.Be of a marketable quality, suitable for purpose and well presented.
2.Work should be new.
3.Items should be labelled clearly with your name and phone number.
4.Price, if being sold to include a 15% commission or NFS if not offered for sale.
5.All entries must be tagged separately, even multiples of the same item.
6.Works to be hung must be supplied with appropriate fittings.
7.A brief introduction to you and your work may be included in the catalogue.
All application forms are due by the 1st OCTOBER 2014.
