The theme for this year's exhibition is 'PLACE'.
To ensure artworks are presented at their very best, we have been able to secure the highly reputable red gallery (http://redgallery.com.au/about/) as the exhibition space. Red gallery is located in Melbourne's lively North Fitzroy arts precinct, surrounded by cafes, bars and parkland and is easily accessible by bus, car and tram (with a tram stop right in front of the gallery).
Historically, the Eesti Päevade visual arts exhibition whether in Sydney, Adelaide or Melbourne has showcased works submitted by professional, semi-professional and amateur artists, ranging from traditionalists to contemporary, in media as diverse as 2D, 3D sculpture and the moving image; with this strong tradition to continue in 2014! In addition, this year, we will be conducting a series of gallery based events to entertain, inform and educate the viewing public.
The application and selection process is currently being finalised to ensure that we present an exciting range of works.
In general, artists will be able to submit up to TWO (2) original artworks which have been completed during 2012 – 2014, either for sale or exhibition.
We currently expect the application form and selection process to be available by the end of July 2014, with completed forms to be returned by no later than 31st October, 2014, including a digital copy of each artwork along with an Artists Statement (of up to 100 words) describing how each artwork relates to an Estonian related interpretation of PLACE.
The application form will be available via www.ep2014melb.com – so bookmark this page now. We will be sending out an updated message by the end of July when the form is available.
Until then, if you have any queries, don't hesitate to contact Bernadette Pilli, Chairperson of the EP 2014 Visual Arts Exhibition subcommittee via the EP 2014 Facebook site or email:
