First night games night was very entertaining with games such as Musical Knees, Mount-dismount and Salute the Captain.
We were divided into sports groups and in those groups we took part in daily activities such as the giant swing (suur kiik), volleyball (võrkpall) and canoe carnival (kanuu karneval).
In Halli hundi Jooks we were put into groups and we had to be at each checkpoint at exactly the time on our sheet. They had many checkpoints ranging from becoming a sculpture with flour all over you to counting paddlepop sticks in the sand.
The theme of this years Theme Night was very interesting as it was Sõrve Through Time. Each hut had to do a skit about Sõrve in an era of time. There were many good skits like our's. But before we could see these skits we had to go through limbo! There were people in togas, people in robes people in rags and most importantly people in ordinary clothes!
On Omavalitsuspäev we woke up to the ten-minute late whistle, opened the door and nearly tripped over a chair in front of it. On the chair was a note that informed us of the morning's proceedings. The note stated that in order for us to receive breakfast that morning we had to collect a number of items such as a gum leaf and a speckled rock. We also had to wear our underpants on the outside of our pants and our towels as a cape. This is a good lesson for all campers to bring extra underwear in case of an emergency like this one.
The theme of the Big Game this year was Pirates of the Baltic Sea. It was a very enjoyable game with many challenging checkpoints comprised of solving puzzles, speaking Estonian and working as team with your allocated group.
At the Last Lõke everyone was a bit sad because it was the last night at camp but still they were happy to be in the Sõrve environment. There were rockets, there were songs, there were dances and there were skits but funnily enough two of the other skits were very similar to our skit yet they accused us of copying them even though we were before them in the order of skits and also they used OUR door! At the end of the lõke like every other year the leaders and the A groupers presented toilet paper awards. There were many of them given out such as the Romeo and Juliet Award, weirdest laugh award and the most enthusiastic award.
In conclusion we thought Sõrve was GREAT this year and we hope to come back again and again.
